Salado will kick off its annual Christmas Stroll with a Main Street parade at 5 p.m. Dec. 4. The Christmas Stroll Parade will begin at the corner of Royal and Main St. and proceed north to the Salado Civic Center for hot chocolate and cookies with jolly old St. Nick.
In Salado tradition, St. Nick will be the last entry of the parade, riding atop the Salado Volunteer Fire Department fire truck.
While Santa Claus will be at the end of parade, Tim and Marilyn Fleischer will be at the front of it. They have been selected as the Grand Marshals for this year’s parade.
Tickets are only available at the door for the annual Salado Empty Bowl Project 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Nov. 22 at the Salado Civic Center.
For just $20, you can purchase a handmade bowl by area potters, fill it with soup provided by area restaurants and help support the Salado Family Relief Fund. You can have all-you-can-eat soup for just $10 per person.
