Rodeo Austin event features local winemakers Salado Creek Winery
Local wine makers Jon and Dottie Moore will be features during the Rodeo Austin’s third annnual Off the Vine Wine & Food Tasting on Nov. 8 at the West Austin Youth Association (WAYA).
This year’s event will feature over thirty wineries and samplings from top-notch local eateries. Guests will also enjoy silent and live auction shopping for one-of-a-kind items such as a Twin Liquors tasting and dinner for 25 guests, Wrangler National Finals Rodeo tickets and a custom pair of CABoots.
Wine enthusiasts and novices alike will taste a variety of signature wines from Texas and California wineries including Becker Vineyards, Fall Creek Vineyards, Caymus Vineyards and Silver Oak Cellars. Local restaurants including Iron Cactus, Moonshine Patio Bar & Grill and Quality Seafood Market will sample some exquisite menu favorites.
Individual tickets are priced at $125 and tables of ten are $1,500. Tickets and tables are available for purchase at RodeoAustin.com. All of the proceeds raised at Off the Vine benefit Rodeo Austin’s mission of Promoting Youth Education – Preserving Western Heritage.
Participating Wineries include Salado Creek Winery and Vineyard, Becker Vineyards, Bogle Winery, Braman Winery, Cap Rock WineryCaymus Vineyards, Driftwood Estate Winery, Fall Creek Vineyards , Frienexet , G Winery, Georgetown Winery, Homestead Vineyard and Winery, Lakeview Winery, Pedernales Cellars, Perriso’s Vineyards, Precept Wine, Silver Oak Cellars, The Vineyard at Florence , William Chris Vineyards and Wines of Dotson Cervantes.
Participating Restaurants include these: Carmelo’s, Gumbo’s in Georgetown, III Forks, Iron Cactus, Mel’s Meals, Moonshine Patio Bar & Grill, Plate by Dzintra, Quality Seafood Market, Ranch 616 and Zed’s.
Salado Creek Winery will release two new wines this month
Salado Creek Winery & Vineyard will be hosting a Gallery Night and New Wine Release from 5 to 8PM Friday, November 16th for our latest release, "Cowpuncher Cab", featuring the artwork of local artist Beau Whitaker on the label.
"Many local Saladoans know Beau as an excellent equine veterinarian," Jon Moore said, "but we also know him for his amazingly detailed artwork of horses, cowboys, and all things Texan. To celebrate the release of Cowpuncher Cab, we are offering you the opportunity to meet Beau, see some of his other artwork, and purchase bottles of the Cowpuncher Cab signed by both Beau and the winemaker, Jon Moore.
Additionally, for those customers who prefer sweet over dry wine, Salado Creek Winery will be releasing its newest sweet wine, "Brown Chicken Brown Cow", an eclectic blend of wine and chocolate.
Light appetizers and free tasting will be available for all customers throughout the Gallery Night and New Wine Release.
