Plans underway
for Wildflower Art
The Salado Chamber of Commerce will once again play host to artists and artisans from across the state, March 29-30 at the eighth Annual Wildflower Art Show.
The poster artwork will feature the watercolor painting by Salado artist Jerry Goodman.
The Art Show includes many different art mediums such as jewelry, clothing, pottery, painting and sculpture with over 50 participating artists and artisans. Many favorites such as Pegasus Pottery artist Dan Brown, Owl Creek Ceramics and photographer Kris Kistner will be returning to this years show. The Chamber is also delighted to welcome several new artists to the show. We will start highlighting the particular artists participating in the show next week.
This year, the Chamber will have an Artists in Action at the fair highlighting the various artists participating in the show. The public will be able to visit with the artists as they are demonstrating their work. The various fine art galleries will also be hosting Artists in Action in their studios in the afternoons of the Show.
A list of these artists and their schedules will be published for the show.
The art show is located on the grounds of the Salado Civic Center at 601 N. Main Street.
The show will be open 9 a.m.-5 p.m. on March 29 and 9 a.m.-4 p.m. on March 30.
